The VN-Index gained seven tenths of a percent on Friday to reach its highest level in nearly 10 months as bank stocks surged. In addition, foreign investors ended a 36-session net-selling streak by net buying USD9mn worth of shares. For the week, the index climbed 3%. VHM (+1.4%) was the leading contributor to the day’s gain. The banking sector experienced robust gains, led by CTG (+3.1%), BID (+1.8%), TCB (+3.1%), MBB (+3.2%) and VPB (+2.7%).
