FMC is a small shrimp exporter with 2017 exports of USD136mn and earned 88% of its revenue from exporting processed shrimp to Europe, US and Japan last year. FMC aims to gradually increase the ratio of its self-produced shrimp to its total input need from 7%-10% to 20% by expanding its farming area from 160 ha to 300 ha in 2017-2019.
