Water Sector Update - Investments in Can Tho water companies add value

BWE announced that it acquired a 48.86% stake in Can Tho 2 Water Supply JSC (not listed) and 24.64% stake in Can Tho Water Supply – Sewerage (UPCoM: CTW). These water companies have a combined market share of ~90% in Can Tho’s water industry with a total designed capacity of ~200,000 cbm day — approximately one-third of BWE’s current capacity. According to BWE, it spent ~VND300bn for these investments.
