Market wrap: VN-Index snaps five-session winning streak as VIC continues slide 

The VN-Index slipped by three tenths of a percent on Friday, ending a five-session winning streak as VIC’s slump continued to weigh on the index. Nevertheless, the VN-Index increased by 1.5% for the week. 

*  VIC (-2.7%) extended its slide and finished the week down 15.8%. Vingroup subsidiaries VRE (-3.9%) and VHM (-0.5%) also dropped. 

*  Banks VCB (-1.4%) and BID (-1.0%) fell. On the other hand, TPB (+4.0%), LPB (+3.6%), STB (+1.6%) and EIB (+2.3%) increased. 

*  SAB (+1.7%) gained 7.3% on the week. 

*  In the oil & gas sector, GAS (-0.9%) and PLX (-1.8%) declined.
