Market wrap: VND ticker plunges, VN-Index drops 0.74%

The VN-Index fell seven-tenths of a percent on Thursday, ending a run of three positive days and mirroring other Asia-Pacific markets that finished lower after minutes from the US Federal Reserve pointed to more rate hikes. 

* Vingroup tickers VHM (-2.9%), VIC (-1.2%) and VRE (-2.0%) dropped. 

* Securities brokerage VND (-6.5%) plummeted. Conversely, VCI (+2.4%) has climbed 10.7% over the last five trading days. 

* Most banks were down, including VCB (-1.3%), VPB (-2.0%), BID (-0.9%), STB (-2.7%) and TCB (-1.2%). On the other hand, SSB (+4.8%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. 

* HVN (-6.7%) fell to the daily trading floor following HOSE’s announcement of its decision to include the stock on its restricted trading list on Wednesday.
