The VN-Index ticked up 0.2% (+2.5 pts) on Friday to finish the week at 1,285.3. The index rose by 33 pts in total this week. Throughout the index, there were 172 gainers, 212 laggards, and 99 stocks that were unchanged. Total trading volume increased compared to the previous trading day to USD672.5mn.
* Most of the large-cap real estate stocks performed poorly, including VHM (-0.1%), VRE (-1.0%), KDH (-0.5%), and VIC (0.0%). BCM (+0.6%), NVL (+2.3%), and PDR (+0.9%) gained.
* Among banks, VCB (0.0%), VPB (0.0%), HDB (0.0%), and SSB (0.0%) were unchanged. BID (+0.4%), CTG (+1.0%), TCB (+0.2%), and MBB (+0.6%) saw their share prices increase. LPB (-0.6%) declined.
* Other top-ten stocks contributing to the index's increase from various sectors included rubber producer GVR (+1.9%), steel maker HPG (+1.2%), milk producer VNM (+0.9%), insurance company BVH (+3.4%), and financial services companies SSI (+1.5%) and HCM (+2.7%).
