Market wrap: VN-Index moves sideways

The VN-Index traded sideways on Friday, closing down by less than a tenth of a percent as 20 of the large-cap VN30 Index’s components finished lower.

* VIC (-1.1%) and VHM (-1.0%) were the top two contributors to the day’s small loss.

* In the banking sector, VCB (+1.5%) bounced back from its 2.2% drop on Thursday. HDB (+1.3%) also increased. Meanwhile, CTG (-1.4%) and TCB (-1.2%) declined.

* MSN (+3.4%) has increased in four out of the last five trading sessions.
