On Monday, the VN-Index fell 0.8% (-10.1 pts) to close the trading day at 1,254.6. The basic materials sector had the most negative impact on the index. Throughout the index, there were 96 gainers, 350 laggards, and 53 stocks that were unchanged. Total trading volume increased compared to the previous trading day to USD832.8mn.
* Basic materials stocks GVR (-5.1%), DGC (-6.0%), DCM (-3.5%), and DPM (-1.97%) plunged.
* Banks VCB (+0.2%), CTG (+0.8%), TCB (+1.1%), and HDB (+1.4%) gained. MBB (-0.8%), ACB (-1.4%), LPB (-1.4%), and STB (-0.99%) declined. BID (0.0%) and VPB (0.0%) were unchanged.
