The VN-Index fell 0.6% (-8.1 pts) on Wednesday to close the trading day at 1,275.8. Six of the top-ten stocks weighing on the market were from the banks sector. Throughout the index, there were 117 gainers, 313 laggards, and 49 stocks that were unchanged. Total trading volume surged compared to the previous trading day to USD631.5mn.
* The previously mentioned bank stocks were VCB (-0.8%), VPB (-2.4%), TCB (-1.5%), MBB (-1.8%), SSB (-3.7%), and HDB (-2.2%). BID (+0.1%) and CTG (+0.7%) gained.
* In real estate, VHM (+2.4%), VRE (+2.6%), and PDR (+3.9%) posted strong gains while VIC (-0.5%) and KBC (-1.5%) declined. BCM (0.0%) and NVL (0.0%) were unchanged.
