Market wrap: VN-Index dips 0.2% on Monday 
The VN-Index dipped 0.2% (-2.3 pts) on Monday to close the trading day at 1,281.5. There were more than double the number of lagging stocks (327) than gainers (144), while 77 were unchanged. The majority of bank stocks declined, with five from the sector ranking among the ten stocks with the most negative influence on the index. Total trading volume increased to USD933.7mn.  
* In the banks sector, VCB (+0.3%) was the only large-cap gainer. CTG (-1.6%), MBB (-1.97%), VPB (-0.5%), TPB (-1.8%), and VIB (-1.2%) were the worst performers.  
* Real estate was the leading gaining sector during the trading day. VIC (+0.4%) and VHM (+0.1%) ticked up while PDR (+3.1%) and DIG (+4.04%) surged. VRE (-0.6%), BCM (-0.9%), KBC (-1.6%), and SIP (-2.3%) declined.  
* Trailing close behind real estate was consumer services. Airline HVN (+6.7%), retailer MWG (+0.6%), water transportation company SKG (+7.0%), and hotel group DAH (+0.5%) were the sector leaders. Electronics retailers FRT (-1.6%) and DGW (-0.6%), airline VJC (-0.3%), and airline cargo service SCS (-0.9%) were the top laggards.  
* In other sectors, milk producer VNM (-0.9%), food & beverage conglomerate MSN (-1.1%), steel maker HPG (-0.5%), rubber producer GVR (+0.6%), and chemical company DGC (-2.5%) were a few of the notable declining stocks.
