The VN-Index slightly declined by 0.1% (-0.7 pts) on Monday to close the trading day at 1,269.9. This is the fourth consecutive trading day that the index has decreased. Throughout the index, there were 170 gainers, 202 laggards, and 86 stocks unchanged. Total trading volume sharply fell compared to the previous trading day to USD474.8mn.
* In the banks sector, VCB (-0.3%), BID (-0.3%), and HDB (-1.7%) declined. CTG (+0.6%), TCB (+0.4%), and MBB (+0.4%) gained, and VPB (0.0%) was unchanged.
* Real estate stocks VHM (-0.7%), VIC (-0.4%), VRE (-0.3%), and NVL (-0.5%) saw their share prices decrease. BCM (+0.7%) and KDH (+0.8%) gained.
* The financial services sector performed well as SSI (+1.1%), VND (+2.1%), HCM (+2.1%), and VCI (+3.7%) surged.
* Notable laggards in other sectors were milk producer VNM (-2.0%), utility companies GAS (-0.6%) and POW (-1.5%), rubber producer GVR (-0.3%), food & beverage conglomerate MSN (-1.1%), and retailer MWG (-0.2%).
