Market wrap: VN-Index crawls up from contributions across sectors

The VN-Index gained 3.03 points (+0.3%) on Thursday to close at 1,125.5. There were large-cap gainers and losers across sectors as 218 stocks increased, 280 declined, and 100 went unchanged. Total trading volume plunged to USD609.3mn.  

* VCB (+0.3%) lifted the session after gaining for consecutive days. CTG (+0.2%) and TCB (+0.5%) also increased while BID (-0.9%) and VPB (-0.3%) fell.  

* VIC (-0.7%) and its subsidiaries VHM (-0.7%) and VRE (-1.0%) dropped.  

* VNM (-0.6%) declined as MSN (+0.3%) and SAB (+1.6%) climbed.  

* GAS (-0.1%) couldn’t sustain its three-day growth streak. HPG (+0.7%) edged up.
