Market wrap: VN-Index closes at 1,108.31

On Tuesday, the VN-Index advanced 1.0% to close at a four-month high of 1,108.31 as Vingroup tickers, bank stocks and securities stocks led the way. 

* VHM (+2.4%) was the top contributor to the day’s gain, and parent company VIC (+2.1%) finished higher for the second day in a row. 

* VCB (+1.0%) has increased 5.4% over the last three trading days. Fellow banks MBB (+3.3%) and TCB (+2.5%) also climbed. 

* Securities brokerages SSI (+4.4%), VND (+6.9%), HCM (3.2%) and VCI (+2.5%) experienced strong gains.
