Market wrap: Securities tickers surge, leading VN-Index to second straight gain

The VN-Index closed up by six-tenths of a percent on Tuesday as the energy, securities and real estate sectors led the way. In addition, trading turnover on HOSE jumped more than 35% from Monday’s session to USD617.5mn. 

* PLX (+5.8%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. Moreover, GAS (+1.2%) finished higher for the second day in a row. 

* Securities brokerages SSI (+3.1%), VCI (+7.0%), VND (+4.0%) and HCM (+5.7%) experienced impressive gains. 

* The real estate sector was strong, led by VHM (+1.1%), NVL (+2.1%), DXG (+2.7%), DIG (+2.9%) and NLG (+1.5). 

* Bank BID (-1.1%) was the day’s top contributor among laggards.
