Market wrap: Real estate stocks lead VN-Index to seventh consecutive gaining session

On Monday, the VN-Index notched its seventh straight gaining session, closing up by four-tenths of a percent as the strong performance of Vingroup’s three tickers and other real estate stocks had a positive impact on the overall market.

* VHM (+4.6%) and its parent company VIC (+2.9%) were the day’s top two contributing gainers. Vingroup’s other listed subsidiary, VRE (+2.3%), also advanced.

* Apart from the Vingroup tickers, several other stocks in the real estate sector experienced significant gains, including KDH (+3.2%), DXG (+3.5%), PDR (+3.2%) and DIG (+3.3%).

* Banks VPB (+2.8%), EIB (+3.4%) and LPB (+2.2%) climbed. On the other hand, BID (-1.2%) and STB (-3.4%) were among the day’s top contributing laggards.

* Other notable decliners included VNM (-1.4%), MSN (-1.3%) and MWG (-1.8%).
