Market wrap: Real estate stocks jump, VN-Index notches fifth straight positive session

The VN-Index closed up by 1% on Thursday and notched its fifth straight positive session as several real estate tickers rallied at the end of trading. 

* GAS (+2.9%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. 

* VHM (+2.2%) increased for the third day in a row. Additionally, fellow real estate stocks NLG (+6.9%), NVL (+2.4%), DXG (+4.0%) and DIG (+5.0%) surged. 

* MSN (+1.7%) has gained 8.8% over the last four trading sessions. 

* Jeweler PNJ (+5.7%) recorded its second-biggest daily gain so far this year.
