Market wrap: NVL soars to ceiling, VN-Index approaches 1,200

The VN-Index increased by four-tenths of a percent to close at 1,190.72 on Monday as there was strong investor activity in the real estate sector.

* Real estate developer NVL (+6.9%) soared to the daily trading ceiling. In addition, KDH (+4.3%) has jumped 6.7% over the last two trading days.

* Bank VPB (+2.1%) advanced for the third consecutive trading session and was the top contributor to the day’s gain.

* MWG (+3.8%) maintained its hot streak and has now increased more than 13% since July 19.

* Pharmaceutical company DHG (-4.0%) has plunged 10.7% over the last two sessions
