Market wrap: Large-cap stocks rally, VN-Index gains 0.8%  

A rally at the end of trading on Monday caused the VN-Index to close up by eight-tenths of a percent as investors focused their buying efforts on blue-chip stocks. 23 of the large-cap VN30 Index’s components finished higher. 

* Food & beverage manufacturers VNM (+3.2%), MSN (+2.5%) and SAB (2.5%) recorded strong gains. 

* VIC (+2.1%) ended a run of three consecutive negative sessions. 

* FRT (+6.9%) and DGW (+6.9%) both soared to the daily trading ceiling. 

* Retailer MWG (+3.9%) has increased 5.8% over the last two trading days.
