Market wrap: VN-Index tumbles 1% 

On Thursday, the VN-Index experienced a broad selloff and closed down by 1% with 280 tickers declining. Real estate stocks experienced a notable downturn as investors were concerned about recent developments in the sector. 

*  VIC (-2.0%) and its subsidiary VHM (-1.8%) were the top two contributors to the day’s loss. VRE (-6.1%) also dropped. 

*  GVR (-4.0%) has decreased in four out of the last five sessions. 

*  POW (-6.9%) has plummeted 16.1% so far this week. In addition, fellow energy ticker GAS (-2.8%) pulled back after increasing in the previous two days. 

*  DIG (-7.0%) and GEX (-7.0%) have both dropped more than 13% in the past two sessions. 

*  The banking sector was a bright spot as BID (+4.4%), VCB (+2.4%), MBB (+1.7%), SSB (+1.5%) and EIB (+1.2%) advanced.
