On Monday, the VN-Index increased 1.1% to close at 1,405.81 — its first time closing above the 1,400-point threshold — as turnover on HOSE climbed to USD1.0bn after being muted last week. VHM (+3.0%) jumped to a record high and was the top contributor to the day’s gain. Steelmaker HPG (+3.3%) hit its highest share price since June 15. Several bank tickers posted robust gains, including TCB (+3.9%), BID (+3.0%), MBB (+2.4%), MSB (+6.9%), CTG (+1.1%) and TPB (+4.9%).
