Market wrap: VN-Index suffers biggest daily loss in nearly two months 

On Tuesday, the VN-Index slid seven tenths of a percent — its biggest single-day loss since September 21 — as investors took profits from large-cap stocks following the market’s recent uptrend. 

* Steelmaker HPG (-3.0%) was the leading contributor to the day’s loss and has declined in five out of the last six trading sessions. 

* GVR (-2.8%) has dropped 6.1% over the last three sessions. 

* VHM (-1.2%) and MSN (-1.8%) both ended two-session winning streaks. 

* Both GAS (-1.8%) and PLX (-2.2%) fell. 

* HDB (-3.3%) erased its 3% gain from Monday. 

* On the positive side, insurer BVH (+3.0%) snapped a four-session losing streak and was the top contributor among gainers.
