Market wrap: VN-Index snaps three-session winning streak as bank tickers tumble
The VN-Index dropped by three tenths of a percent on Tuesday and snapped a three-session winning streak as investors sold off bank stocks.
* Banks weighed heavily on the index as BID (-2.1%), VPB (-1.8%), CTG (-1.5%), TCB (-1.2%), VIB (-2.0%), ACB (-1.5%), MBB (-1.1%) and SHB (-1.8%) were among the top contributors to the day’s loss. LPB (+4.0%) was a notable outlier.
* VNM (-2.2%) retreated after increasing 12% over the previous five sessions.
* GAS (+1.7%) has climbed 5.5% over the last three sessions.
* NVL (+1.4%) and MSN (+1.1%) are on four and three-session winning streaks, respectively.
