Market wrap: VN-Index slumps to one-month low 

The VN-Index dropped by eight-tenths of a percent on Friday to close at a one-month low of 1,055.30 as there was a steep selloff at the end of the session. For the week, the VN-Index fell 2%.  

*  Banks BID (-2.4%), VPB (-2.8%), VIB (-4.5%), EIB (-6.9%), STB (-3.3%), CTG (-1.0%) and TCB (-1.3%) were among the top contributors to the day’s loss. Conversely, VPB (+1.6%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. 

*  GAS (-1.8%) ended a four-day winning streak. 

*  Retailer MWG (-4.3%) nosedived 11.9% for the week.
