The VN-Index dropped by 0.69% on Wednesday, led by banks. Turnover on the HOSE continued to decline to USD412.5mn.
* The banking sector was again the biggest contributor to the VN-Index’s loss, led by declines from VPB, CTG, BID and TCB.
* Large cap real estate names fell, including VIC, VHM, KDH and VRE, however some midcap names in the sector performed well, such as ITC, KBC, LHG and NBB.
* Consumer stocks traded mixed with gains from PNJ, VNM and SAB and losses from MWG, FRT, MSN and VHC.
* The energy sector outperformed the market due to rallies from PVD, PVT, PVS and CNG.
