Market wrap: VN-Index rises, led by banks
The VN-Index bounced back strongly on Friday as banking stocks soared. It closed the week at 1,477.03 with a 1.38% gain.
* All banks in the HOSE rallied and contributed most to the VN-Index’s gain. Notably, HDB, TPB, SHB and EIB closed at their ceiling prices.
* Steel stocks recovered amid gains in HPG (+2.5%), HSG (+1.7%), NKG (+4.9%) and TLH (+2%).
* Real estate stocks traded mixed as NVL (+3.1%), VIC (+0.5%) and VHM (+0.5%) rose but KDH (-1.4%), BCM (-2.8%), CRE (-5.3%) and LDG (-6.9%) fell.
* Health care stocks declined, including DHG (-4.2%), IMP (-1.8%), DCL (-1.6%) and DBD (-1.5%).
