Market wrap: VN-Index rises for third straight day

The VN-Index advanced nine-tenths of a percent on Thursday and extended its winning streak to three days as investors focused their buying efforts on banking, energy and real estate stocks.

* VCB (+1.4%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. Fellow banks STB (+3.9%) and TCB (+1.3%) also climbed.

* Dairy manufacturer VNM (+2.4%) has jumped 6.7% over the last three days.

* POW (+6.8%) soared to the daily trading ceiling.

* Vingroup subsidiaries VHM (+1.4%) and VRE (+2.1%) both increased.

* Real estate developer NVL (-2.1%) has dropped 6.5% over the last two trading sessions.
