Market wrap: VN-Index records largest single day gain in four weeks 

The VN-Index jumped 1.1% on Tuesday — its biggest single day gain since August 30 — as investor sentiment was boosted due to Vietnam’s economic reopening prospects. 

• Energy stocks shined in response to the global rally of oil prices as GAS (+5.7%) was top contributor to the day’s gain while PLX (+2.0%) and PVD (+7.0%) also increased. 
• Steelmakers HPG (+3.5%) and HSG (+4.5%) experienced significant gains. 
• KBC (+6.4%) and BVH (+3.9%) bounced back from respective 6.0% and 3.9% declines on Monday. 
• SAB (-1.2%) fell to its lowest share price since September 10 and was the day’s top contributing laggard.
