Market wrap: VN-Index records fourth straight positive session, airline stocks surge

On Thursday, the VN-Index finished higher for the fourth straight session, closing up by six-tenths of a percent on strong gains from banking and airline tickers.

* Banks VCB (+0.9%), STB (+4.5%) and VIB (+2.4%) were among the top contributors to the day’s gain.

* Airlines HVN (+6.8%) and VJC (+3.6%) climbed following news that China added to Vietnam to its list of countries approved for outbound tours.

* GVR (+4.5%) increased for the fourth consecutive session.
