Market wrap: VN-Index rebounds 1.7%

The VN-Index climbed 1.7% on Tuesday, rebounding from its 1.4% loss in the previous session as investor sentiment improved — partially resulting from the Government releasing resolution on the sustainable, effective and transparent development of the Vietnamese capital market on Monday.

* BID (+5.5%) snapped a two-session losing streak and was the top contributor to the day’s gain. Fellow banks MBB (+2.7%), TCB (+1.4%) and ACB (+2.1%) also increased.

* Industrial real estate players GVR (+6.9%) and KBC (+6.9%) soared to the daily trading ceiling. In addition, BCM (+3.9%) climbed for the second day in a row.

* Other notable gainers included GAS (+4.3%), DGC (+5.1%) and DIG (+7.0%).

* VHM (-0.5%), VJC (-1.5%) and SAB (-1.0%) were the day’s top-three contributing laggards.
