Market wrap: VN-Index rallies at end of trading for its seventh straight positive session

On Wednesday, the VN-Index seemed to be heading toward its first negative session since March 20, but a rally at the end of trading caused the index to ultimately close up by two-tenths of a percent. Nevertheless, there were 216 stocks that declined compared to 147 gainers. 

* MSN (+1.5%) increased for the second day in a row. 

* Banks TCB (+1.6%), MBB (+1.7%) and OCB (+2.8%) climbed. 

* Securities brokerages performed well as VCI (+3.5%), SSI (+1.2%) and HCM (+1.8%) advanced. 

* GAS (-0.9%) was the day’s top contributing decliner and has dropped in 10 out of the last 12 trading sessions.
