On Monday, the VN-Index plummeted 1.9% with the market entering a sudden downturn in the afternoon as investor sentiment became cautious surrounding the upcoming Q3 earnings season that will be impacted by COVID-19.
* MSN (-5.2%) fell for its third straight session and was the leading contributor to the day’s loss.
* VHM (-1.8%) and its parent company VIC (-1.0%) dropped.
* Banks were down across the board, led by VCB (-1.5%), TCB (-2.1%), CTG (-2.2%) and VIB (-5.1%).
* Large caps GVR (-3.8%), VNM (-2.1%) and MWG (-3.4%) declined.
* Airline VJC (+3.2%) was a rare bright spot.
