Market wrap: VN-Index notches best day in more than two years

After dropping nearly 10% over the previous three trading days, the VN-Index rebounded 4.8% on Tuesday — its biggest daily gain since April 6, 2020 — as investors were able to pick up shares at cheap prices.

* Banks had a strong bounce back following their recent slump, led by BID (+7.0%), VPB (+6.9%), VCB (+2.4%), CTG (+6.9%), TCB (+6.9%) and MBB (+6.9%).

* GAS (+6.2%) increased, ending a three-session losing streak during which its share price tumbled 12.8%.

* MSN (+7.0%) reversed course and soared to the daily trading ceiling after hitting the trading floor in the previous three sessions.

* Steelmaker HPG (+5.2%) has advanced 6.4% over the last two days.
