Market wrap: VN-Index jumps to 12-week high, led by MWG 

The VN-Index had a strong start to April, gaining 1.6% and hitting a 12-week high of 1,516.44 on Friday as large-cap stocks lead the way with the VN30 Index jumping 2.2%. For the week, the VN-Index gained 1.2%. 

*  MWG (+7.0%) soared to the daily trading ceiling and reached an all-time high. 

*  In the banking sector, VPB (+3.8%), BID (+1.9%) and CTG (+1.8%) experienced strong gains. 

*  MSN (+3.0%) had its first positive session since March 22. 

*  SAB (+4.0%) jumped to a four-week high. 

*  On the negative side, industrial real estate developer BCM (-1.2%) was the day’s top contributing decliner.
