Market wrap: VN-Index increases for ninth straight session, led by VHM & VIC
On Friday, the VN-Index advanced for its ninth straight session, closing up by a half of a percent as real estate stocks led the way. Additionally, the VN-Index increased 1.7%, 3.9% and 5.7% for the week, month and Q1 2023, respectively.
* VHM (+3.9%) was the top contributing gainer for the second day in a row, and its parent company VIC (+2.4%) finished higher for the fourth straight day. Meanwhile, Vingroup subsidiary VRE (-1.2%) decreased.
* Industrial real estate players GVR (+5.4%) and KBC (+6.8%) experienced big gains.
* In the banking sector, TCB (+2.3%), HDB (+2.9%) and ACB (+1.6%) climbed, but VCB (-1.4%) was the day’s top contributing decliner.
* MSN (-1.8%) pulled back after increasing in the previous three sessions.
