Market wrap: VN-Index increases for fourth straight session 

On Wednesday, the VN-Index advanced by three tenths of a percent and notched its fourth straight positive session as steel tickers continued their positive momentum. 

*  HPG (+3.8%) was the top contributing gainer for the second day in a row. Additionally, fellow steelmakers HSG (+6.9%) and NKG (+7.0%) both hit the daily trading ceiling. 

*  DIG (+6.9%) bounced back following its nearly 25% plunge over the previous four trading sessions. 

*  Several bank tickers slumped, including VCB (-1.3%), MBB (-1.5%), STB (-2.2%), EIB (-2.5%) and TPB (-1.2%). Conversely, BID (+2.2%) and SHB (+3.9%) increased. 

*  GAS (-3.5%) was the day’s top contributing laggard. 

*  VIC (-1.8%) dropped for the third straight day.
