Market wrap: VN-Index finishes nearly unchanged
The VN-Index barely extended its winning streak to three sessions as it gained just one hundredth of a percent on Wednesday. In addition, trading turnover on HOSE slumped to USD569.34mn — the lowest level since February.
- VCB (+2.1%) ended a three-session losing streak and was the day’s top contributing gainer. Fellow banks CTG (+1.2%), BID (+0.7%), OCB (+3.1%), VIB (+1.5%), MBB (+0.7%) and HDB (+1.2%) also advanced. On the other hand, VPB (-1.2%) slumped to a three-month low.
- Several real estate stocks dropped, including VHM (-1.2%), NVL (-2.2%), VRE (-1.6%) and BCM (-1.6%).
- Steelmaker HPG (+1.1%) increased for the second straight day.
