Market wrap: VN-Index finishes flat, securities tickers slump
The VN-Index finished nearly unchanged on Tuesday, closing down by a mere hundredth of a percent in an up-and-down session as investors were cautious after the index’s 5.5% fall over the previous two trading sessions.
- Securities brokerages SSI (-3.5%), VCI (-6.6%) and HCM (-6.8%) dropped as investors took profits following the sector’s recent uptrend.
- In the real estate sector, PDR (+4.6%) jumped after decreasing 10.4% over the previous five trading sessions. Meanwhile, DIG (-5.7%) has slumped 12.1% in the last three sessions.
- Food & beverage manufacturers MSN (+1.2%) and SAB (+1.7%) both ended two-session losing streaks.
- Fertilizer manufacturer DPM (-4.8%) snapped a three-session winning streak.
