Market wrap: VN-Index finishes flat as VIC & VHM drop, bank tickers gain
The VN-Index closed nearly unchanged on Thursday, gaining just 0.04 points as the index continued to hit resistance at the 1,350-point level.
* VIC (-3.9%) and its subsidiary VHM (-2.2%) were the day’s top two contributing decliners. Meanwhile, Vingroup’s other listed subsidiary VRE (+5.1%) climbed to its highest share price since July 7.
* MSN (+3.4%) advanced for its fourth straight session and hit a new all-time high.
* Airline HVN (-4.8%) has plummeted 11% in the last two days.
* Most banks were up, led by VCB (+1.0%), VPB (+1.7%), TCB (+1.4%), CTG (+1.6%) and MBB (+1.3%).
