Market wrap: VN-Index falls for third consecutive session

The VN-Index fell seven-tenths of a percent on Monday, marking its third straight daily loss as 25 of the large-cap VN30 Index’s components finished lower. 

* VIC (-2.8%) was the top contributor to the day’s loss. In addition, Vingroup subsidiary VHM (-1.2%) dropped for the third consecutive trading session. 

* Most banks were down, including BID (-2.3%), VCB (-1.1%), HDB (-3.0%) and VIB (-2.7%). Conversely, SSB (+4.0%) experienced a strong gain. 

* HPG (-1.7%) extended its losing streak to four straight sessions. 

* Industrial real estate developer BCM (+7.0%) surged to the daily trading ceiling and was the day’s top contributing gainer.
