Market wrap: VN-Index extends winning streak to five sessions

The VN-Index advanced 1.6% on Wednesday, marking its fifth straight positive session as foreign investors were net buyers for the eighth consecutive trading day. For the month of November, the VN-Index gained 2%, which ended a two-month losing streak. 

* VHM (+2.6%) was the top contributor to the day’s gain and has soared 22.7% over the last five trading days. 

* HPG (+5.7%) extended its winning streak to five sessions. 

* Banks VCB (+1.5%), VPB (+4.0%), VIB (+6.9%) and TCB (+2.8%) increased. 

* Retailer MWG (+3.0%) has jumped 16.7% so far this week. 

* GAS (-1.6%) was the day’s top contributing laggard.
