Market wrap: VN-Index extends winning streak to five sessions

The VN-Index advanced seven tenths of a percent on Monday, extending its winning streak to five consecutive sessions as trading turnover on HOSE edged up to USD711.6mn.  

*  VHM (+1.1%) was the top contributor to the day’s gain and increased for its fifth straight session.

*  Airlines VJC (+4.3%) and HVN (+3.0%) climbed. 

*  Banks VCB (+0.8%), BID (+1.3%), VPB (+1.6%), CTG (+1.1%) and TPB (+2.2%) were all among the day’s top contributing gainers. 

*  REE (+5.7%) has surged 28.8% over the last five trading sessions. 

*  MWG (-1.0%) was the day’s leading contributing laggard.
