Market wrap: VN-Index ends three-session losing streak, but trading turnover slumps 

The VN-Index gained eight tenths of a percent and ended a three-session losing streak on Wednesday. Meanwhile, trading turnover on HOSE slumped 28% from Tuesday’s session to USD736.46mn as investors are concerned about the prospects for the market to make a quick recovery due to the current COVID-19 situation in Vietnam. 

  • MSN (+5.1%) was the top contributor to the day’s gain. 
  • GVR (+3.5%) snapped a three-session losing streak. 
  • POW (+6.6%) posted its biggest daily increase in nearly three months. 
  • Airline VJC (+3.4%) advanced for the third day in a row, hitting its highest share price since April 27. 
  • Bank CTG (-1.8%) was the day’s top contributing decliner.
