Market wrap: VN-Index ended higher on Monday

The VN-Index rose by 1.26% on Monday to approach the psychological level at 1,100 as turnover of the HOSE remained at a high level with nearly 1.26 billion shares traded (value USD874 million). 

* The financial sector was the biggest contributor to the VN-Index’s gain, led by rallies from VPB, CTG, STB and SSI.  

* Large-cap stocks in the consumer staples sector performed well, including VNM, SAB, MSN and BHN.       

* Real estate tickers traded mixed with gains from VHM, KDH, PDR and DIG and losses from NVL, VIC, HDC and HPX.
