Market wrap: VN-Index edges up to near two-month high 


The VN-Index edged up by two-tenths of a percent on Tuesday to close at a nearly two-month high of 1,258.85. 


* NVL (+1.8%) increased for the ninth consecutive session and was the top contributor to the day’s gain. 


* Steel manufacturer HPG (+2.1%) advanced for the second day in a row. 


* VIC (+1.1%) ended a two-session losing streak, but its subsidiary VHM (-1.0%) fell for the third straight session. 


* VCB (-1.5%) was the day’s top contributing decliner.
