Market wrap: VN-Index edges up at end of session

The VN-Index edged up four-tenths of a percent on Wednesday as a late rally at the end of trading brought the index into positive territory.

* Banks VCB (+1.9%) and BID (+3.6%) were the top two contributors to the day’s gain. CTG (+2.5%) and VPB (+1.7%) also increased. Meanwhile, EIB (-7.0%) has plummeted more than 20% over the last four trading days.

* NVL (-6.9%) plunged to the daily trading floor for the fifth session in a row, where it was joined by fellow real estate stocks PDR (-6.9%) and DIG (-6.9%).

* GAS (+1.7%) increased for the third straight day.

* VHM (+1.7%) snapped a three-session losing streak.
