Market wrap: VN-Index edges down, led by VIC & VHM

The VN-Index closed down by two tenths of a percent on Monday with the decline of Vingroup tickers dragging down the overall market.

* VIC (-2.3%) and its subsidiary VHM (-1.7%) were the top two contributors to the day’s loss.

* Steelmaker HPG (-2.6%) pulled back after its 4.5% gain last Friday.

* Banks BID (-0.8%), VCB (-0.4%), STB (-1.7%) and SHB (-1.7%) were among the day’s top contributing decliners. On the other hand, VIB (+1.4%) and SSB (+1.1%) increased.

* MSN (+1.4%) and FPT (+1.0%) were the day’s top two contributing gainers.
