Market wrap: VN-Index edges down, foreigners net sell USD125mn

The VN-Index inched down by less than a tenth of a percent on Friday following its 3.5% gain in the previous session as foreign investors were net sellers of USD125mn. Nevertheless, the VN-Index gained four-tenths of a percent for the week, marking its second straight weekly gain. 

* HPG (-3.4%) was the top contributor to the day’s loss. 

* Banks TCB (+6.8%), MSB (+4.3%), ACB (+1.1%) increased. Conversely, EIB (-6.2%) and VPB (-1.2%) both snapped three-day winning streaks. 

* In the real estate & construction sector, VHM (+2.0%) and its parent company VIC (+1.3%) advanced. In addition, HDG (+7.0%) hit the daily trading ceiling for the second consecutive day. Meanwhile, NVL (-1.9%) fell for the third day in a row. 

* MSN (+1.1%) finished the week up 12.2%.
