Market wrap: VN-Index drops 1.3% 

The VN-Index dropped 1.3% on Thursday as investor sentiment continued to be impacted by the recent arrest of the chairman of property developer Tan Hoang Minh, which was reported by Vn Express earlier this week. 

*  VCB (-1.9%) was the top contributor to the day’s decline. On the other hand, MBB (+1.0%) and ACB (+2.9%) were bright spots in the banking sector. 

*  Vingroup tickers VIC (-1.2%), VHM (-1.7%) and VRE (-2.8%) declined. 

*  NVL (-2.0%) fell for the second day in a row. 

*  Other notable decliners included MSN (-1.8%), HPG (-1.5%), GVR (-1.9%) and MWG (-2.4%). 

*  Fertilizer producers DPM (+4.2%) and DCM (+3.9%) climbed back after steep falls on Wednesday.
