Market wrap: VN-Index continues slide 

On Tuesday, the VN-Index fell by nearly 1% and slumped to its lowest level since December 6, 2021, as Monday’s plunge affected investors’ confidence. 

*  VHM (-2.6%) dropped to an eight-month low and was the top contributing laggard for the second day in a row. In addition, parent company VIC (-1.1%) declined for the second straight day. 

*  Other real estate players continued to struggle, including GVR (-6.5%), DIG (-6.9%) and BCM (-3.8%).

*  Securities brokerages extended their downtrend as SSI (-6.6%), VND (-6.9%), VCI (-6.9%) and HCM (-4.9%) fell. 

*  Banks VCB (+1.6%), BID (+2.9%), STB (+4.0%), MBB (+1.4%) and HDB (+1.9%) were among the day’s top contributing gainers. 

*  Fertilizer manufacturers DPM (+6.9%) and DCM (+7.0%) both surged to the daily trading ceiling.
