Market wrap: VN-Index climbs for third consecutive session 

The VN-Index closed up by two tenths of a percent on Tuesday, marking its third consecutive positive session as the real estate sector led the way. In addition, the VN-Index concluded the month of August up 1.6%. 

*  GVR (+3.1) increased for its fifth straight session and was the top contributor to the day’s gain.

*  GAS (+2.2%) advanced to a two-week high. 

*  Several real estate tickers experienced significant gains, including BCM (+5.4%), KBC (+6.1%) and PDR (+2.8%). 

*  BVH (+3.6%) has jumped 8.4% over the last three trading sessions. 

*  Banks reversed course after their strong performance on Monday. Notable bank decliners included TCB (-1.5%), CTG (-1.5%), BID (-1.3%), MBB (-1.8%), HDB (-2.8%), STB (-2.0%) and TPB (-1.6%).
